"The Greenhorn's Guide to Alaska Fishing Jobs" is a must-read!
James Creel, f/v Ramblin' Rose, on Deadliest Catch:
“AlaskaFishingJobs.com is a great tool for people to connect to the fishing industry in search of a job. Whether it be an experienced deckhand like myself looking to broaden their horizons in search of a new boat to work on or a Greenhorn looking to get their foot in the door."
Deadliest Catch & Crab Fishing Jobs!!
We attended CatchCon 2011 in Seattle last April, thanks to an invite by the folks at the Discovery Channel! It goes without saying that Deadliest Catch is among the most exciting shows on television today. This page is dedicated to providing information on Alaskan crab fishing jobs and Deadliest Catch. Watch some of the 2011 season, below!
As far as the status on most of the Deadliest Catch boats now, the crews have finished up their 2011 summer jobs, and are probably already lining up their 2012 summer jobs. If they are not working on crab fishing boats this fall and winter that are on the Deadliest Catch, possibly they've landed other fish jobs, or another job in Alaska.— 2011 king crab fishing jobs begin in October and 2011 opilio crabs begin in mid-January.
